The Butterfly effect

Summary: On this week's podcast I interviewed Kathleen Leavitt. One part of our conversation that stuck with me and I want to share with you is the story of the butterfly.

I think we all know what a butterfly is and what they look like. If you don’t go look it up. You won’t be disappointed. We are all in a way like butterflies if you think about it. We come here as little caterpillars learning and growing until one day we figure out who we want to be and start doing that then turn into a butterfly.

Butterflies start out as caterpillars then they grow and when it's time they make a chrysalis and change into a butterfly. Have you ever thought about the process of what happens in the chrysalis though? I never did until my conversation with Kathleen. When caterpillars are changing into butterflies in the chrysalis they turn into mush. From there they turn into a butterfly slowly.

That is an analogy that we can use in our everyday life. We all can be compared to butterflies. I have had moments in life that were growing points and in that moment I felt a little like “mush” I was scared of the future and what it held for me. I knew my goals and had a plan to achieve them but didn’t know what the other side looked like or felt like.

Have you had a moment like that in your life? Has there been a time where you were ready to transform and felt stuck or lost? I encourage you to think and ponder those questions. We all have a purpose. We all have a destiny. If you haven’t found yours yet, now is your time. You are reading this blog because you are ready to transform and start living a more fulfilling life. You might be at your “mush” point and are going to be sculpted into something amazing from what you’re going through now. If you embrace it and rip out the wave, have gratitude, and see what you can learn and how you can grow.
