Transform Your Mind Transform Your World

In today’s Blog I want to share with you how changing your mindset will change your life. You have the power to change your thoughts and transform your world. The first step to changing your mindset is through thoughts/language, perception, and EUTA. I will teach you how to implement those into your life to transform.

The first topic I want to talk about is thoughts and language. Have you ever noticed that when you have certain thoughts those create an emotion? Thoughts create emotion then the emotion causes an action. So what kind of thoughts do you want to create? Do you want thoughts that lift you up to succeed and help you achieve your goals? or do you want to have that little nagging negative voice in the back of your head telling you you can’t. You have the opportunity to choose to put positive thoughts in your mind which in return will create positive emotions and positive things to happen in your life or you can do the exact opposite. I want you to take a moment to close your eyes and think of a result in your life that you’re not happy with. See if you can break it down. Go through these steps to break it down. Say to yourself I’m getting….This is what I’m doing…This is what I’m feeling…and these are my thoughts around that…. Are you going to choose to transform your thoughts? Now that you are aware that those aren’t serving you, you have the responsibility to commit yourself to that. Now that you have recognized the thoughts I want you to create a “pattern interrupt” what a pattern interrupt does is it interrupts the stream of negative thoughts. When you have a negative thought now that you’re aware you can stop that thought right then and there so it doesn’t continue to turn into an emotion or behavior. So what are examples of pattern interrupts? A few examples that you could use are a positive affirmation, a single word, or an action. You doing that will change your mindset to create a more positive environment for yourself.

The next topic about mindset is perception. Perception is how you see life. You have the choice on how you want to perceive the world. Your mind will lock onto a belief, thought, or emotion and put that into your subconscious whether that is good or bad and will follow that. There is good and bad to everything in life. You have the choice to see the good or the bad. You can choose how you want to look at life. Ask yourself “when something happens to me how do I respond?” “Do I respond with feeling like I’m the victim and the world is out to get me? “ “Is life happening to me or for me?” Now I want to make a point that it is okay to have bad days where you don’t see the good in it and you are sad. However after working through those emotions it is up to you on coming back and finding a positive perspective of the situation after the fact. When you have a positive perspective of the world you can make an impact on those around you and help others to change their mindset. If you want to change the world, change your thoughts.

The last tool I want to give you for your mindset in this blog is the acronym “EUTA” EUTA means: Evaluate / Understand / Transform / Action. Evaluate- when you have a thought evaluate that thought. Is it good? Is it bad? Does it serve you? After you evaluate it, take a minute to understand it. Understand where that thought is coming from, understand what it means, understand why you had that thought. Next you have the opportunity to transform that thought into one that serves you if it’s a thought that doesn’t serve you. After you transform that thought then put that new thought into action.

Transformation is a journey, transformation doesn’t just happen in a day. It takes time and the things that you go through in life give you lessons that you can learn from. You are the person today because of the things you have gone through. Don’t forget to have gratitude in life. Gratitude is a huge part of having a positive mindset. Stay present, don't worry about the future or the past where you’re at in life is exactly where you're supposed to be. I would love to connect.
