Summary: I love having guests on my podcast and this week I was able to interview Meadow the owner of Meadow Crystals. She is an amazing person and I learned a lot from her. I wanted to share with you a few of the things that stuck with me that she said. We are like crystals, Not everyone is your people, and Trust yourself. If you want to listen to all the topics we talked about, the audio podcast is linked below.

The first topic I want to share is that we are like crystals. I completely agree. She compared people to crystals when she was explaining how to use crystals in the most effective way. She made a comment stating that crystals “ have a battery” and need to be recharged. We as people need to be charged in a similar way. When we go, go, go and don’t take a second to slow down we drain ourselves and cause bigger problems for our future selves. So what are some ways that you can slow down and “recharge your batteries”? I believe that the recharge we are talking about should be daily practices that you take to reset for the next day. Taking time out of your day to meditate in the morning or have a quiet moment by yourself to visualize your day is powerful. I will walk you through my morning routine and night routine of the few things I do to set myself up for the day and wind down at night. In the morning I wake up and meditate for a few minutes. Then I go to my office and read then journal. After that I go to my vision board and read all my goals. Giving myself this time to reflect and do a few things for myself has significantly improved my mornings and my day. At night I do the same thing. A few other Ideas for you are, Yoga, stretching in the morning, making your bed, drawing. These should be activities that recharge you and set you up to have a better day.

The next topic we talked about that I really resonate with is: that not everyone is your people. In the episode I shared a story of something that happened to me recently that I want to share here. I was doing a workshop with a group of people. Everyone was participating and having a great time with amazing conversation. About half way through the workshop there was a particular individual (he was in a higher position and should have been setting the standard for those around him.) I said something that triggered him and he closed his workbook. He also folded his arms and then eventually got on his phone and was on it for the rest of the workshop. A couple of the people around him started to get on their phones and follow his example. I shrugged it off because not all people are my people. I am not a fit for everyone as a coach and that is okay because I have a tribe of people who are my people. Meadow has experienced similar things with her Crystal shop of people walking in and not vibing with it and she’s okay with it. It isn’t a personal attack on you if someone doesn’t vibe with you or it’s a weird interaction. People will come into your life who are meant to be there and will support you and you will also have people in your life that aren’t meant to be there forever that don’t support your growth.

The final topic I want to talk about is trusting yourself. We are very intuitive beings by nature and are given a gift to “ trust our gut”. My mom always growing up said to “trust my gut” when I was making decisions because my gut is usually always right. My advice to you is to trust yourself and trust your instincts.
