Summary:
Do you choose pain or pleasure in your life? Do you listen to other people and not live the life that you want? In this blog you will learn how to link pleasure to the things you want to do in life. You will also learn how to become aware of your true goals.
In this article, we will go through the journey of:
Evaluating your life, raising your standards, understanding and different areas in your life.
The first step to becoming aware is evaluating your life. When you evaluate your life you are able to become aware of the person you want to become and the person you don’t want to become. Ask yourself the following questions: Do you know who you want to be if I took away your titles in life? Do you truly know yourself at your core? What do you believe? Do you believe in god? Do you believe in a higher power energy? Is honesty important to you? Do you think that you have to work hard to get what you want in life? Do you believe that you’re able to manifest things into your life? Are your beliefs getting in your way or are they getting in the way? What do you want your life to look like? Are you dedicated to making that happen? These are just a few examples of questions you can ask yourself. When you are going through those if there are any more questions that come to mind answer those as well. When you’re in alignment with your core you will live a fulfilled life. When you let your subconscious thoughts run wild you are letting them control your life. As long as you put a plan in place and work towards that you aren’t failing. When you decide not to change or start to then stop that is when you fail. The choice is yours. The goal of awareness is to restore your freedom to choose what you want instead of what your past has held you to. It’s okay to have thoughts and limiting beliefs from your subconscious try to hold you back, It’s even okay to let those thoughts take over sometimes. The goal is that as you take more and more steps to change your life and achieve your goals that those will slowly get better. You are here reading this and that is a HUGE step to becoming your authentic self and who you want to be. I am proud of you for reading this and taking the time to choose yourself. I want you to close your eyes and ask yourself “Am I willing to do what it takes to change?” This is a powerful question. It’s okay to be nervous and have doubts. Work through those thoughts and ask yourself where those are coming from. Are they coming from limiting beliefs? Things people have told you? Once you ask yourself those and the emotions surface, give yourself permission to let those go. Thank them for what they did and how they served you. Now tell yourself “I am letting go of the thoughts and emotions that no longer serve me.” How did that feel? I believe that if you are reading this you are ready to transform.
Now that you have evaluated your life, now it is time to focus on understanding where things come from. What you link pain to you will resist. What you link pleasure to you will persist. Are your beliefs, thoughts and values truly coming from who you are? or Are they coming from what you’ve been taught and told to be? You don’t need to live off others beliefs and values. YOU CAN BE YOU! Throughout life you will be told what to do and who to be. The question is: Are you strong enough to be who you know you are? Even if others don’t agree…. Be you. You have the choice to link what you want to link pain to. For example, let's say you want to start a business and quit your 9-5 job, but you don’t because you are fearful of not having that security anymore. You can flip those. You can change your thoughts and make it painful to stay at that 9-5 job that you don’t want to do and make quitting feel very secure and safe. You have the power to understand and flip limiting beliefs that you have created and also ones that are from others put on you. Pain and pleasure is all based on perspective.
Next let’s talk about raising your standards. Raising your standards means that you are going to commit and hold yourself accountable for what you set your goals for. With that being said there are going to be outside forces that make it really easy to go back to old patterns. DON’T GIVE IN! Let's say you made a goal to make your bed in the morning everyday. To accomplish this you let’s say you are going to have to wake up earlier. So the next day your alarm goes off to get up 5 minutes earlier than you normally would and you hear it and get up then make your bed. Some Days it might feel easier to get those 5 minutes of sleep and hit snooze. Remember however that you made a commitment to yourself to raise your standards and hold yourself accountable. Keep making your bed even on days you don’t want to. Because the more you do it the more it becomes a habit and you will continue to do it without even thinking.
The small wins in life will turn into big wins so keep appreciating those small wins. When you transform your life you are also going to help transform those around you. Isn’t that so powerful? Just by having those small wins you will create an environment for those around you to succeed.
I hope that these have helped you to become aware of what you want to do in life. Remember that you are important and you have a purpose. You are doing great and I'm proud of you. I am proud of where you are and I am proud of the person that you are going to become with starting your transformation.
